October 26-27, 2019

Event Information

Over 48hrs you will participate in 3 separate SLO ULTRA Games events.
(team competitions are NOT a relay, both members compete in all 3 events together).
Events will begin in waves and heats to-be-assigned.

SATURDAY

Strength Competition

All competitors will be required to participate in a “Clean & Press” ladder (2 minutes) with a unique object. Your results within this competition will determine your starting position for Sunday’s endurance event.

Functional Fitness Competitions

Competitors will participate in 2 timed Crossfit-style outdoor workouts (8-10 minutes & 10-15 minutes each) over the course of the day. Heats will be pre-assigned. Exercises may, or may not, include: rowing, assault bike, sled, burpees, dead-lift, sandbags, kettle bells, box jumps, pull-ups, and push-ups. There will be no highly-technical moves because this competition is open to all abilities. *Expect the unexpected!

SUNDAY

Endurance Competition

Competitors will start with a 1/2 mile open-water swim, then over the course of the 5k, you will experience: trail running, obstacles, carries, and strength challenges (estimated 75-105 minutes duration). Course directional markings, aid station support, and safety personnel will be on-site. *Expect the unexpected!

Owner: Headstrong Fit. When asked why he started Headstrong, Robby says, “I’ve always wanted to find the smartest way to train. I’ve competed in a lot of different types of strength sports and sports in general, I’ve been injured a lot, and I wanted to take all of those experiences and create something special. I wanted to create a community that focuses on helping people with their fitness goals, mental goals, and injury prevention goals. There isn’t one right way of fitness—every method has its merit.”
