Festival

The Race SLO Dirt Festival will feature live music throughout the event on stage during and after the races. It is FREE to the public and all race participants. Enjoy hot, fresh BBQ ($12.50 without a race registration), ice cold beer from Lagunitas, non-alcoholic beverages and hot coffee drinks. Gather your friends & family and bring chairs, blankets and your dancing shoes! No outside food or alcohol allowed. Dogs welcome, but MUST be on leash at all times (dogs are not allowed on the race course).

The Festival is held on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at the SLO Ultra finish line at the Dairy Creek Event Center & SLO County El Chorro Park.

Parking is first come first serve and all others may park across the street at Cuesta College. $5 parking fee in advance on race roster or day of cash only.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Friday, August 31

  • 1:00PM - 6:00PM: Packet Pick Up at the Dairy Creek Golf Course Clubhouse at 2990 Dairy Creek Road, San Luis Obispo, CA 93405. ID Required. No drop bags are accepted at this time.
  • Camping at El Chorro Park next door is ran by SLO County Parks. Contact them at #805-781-5930 with any questions or visit their park entrance kiosk upon arrival.  

Saturday, September 1

  • 5:30AM: Parking opens at Cuesta College. $5 cash or prepaid parking pass required. For directions please Google search Cuesta College Map lots 2 & 3 off the Hollister Road entrance. Display pass on dash or bring cash.
  • Follow staff directions across Highway One to property and into El Chorro Park on foot to the athlete staging area inside the park, bag drop and the start line.
  • 5:30AM - 9AM: Packet Pick Up/Late Registration for all except the kids race will be inside El Chorro Park near the start line (not the finish festival). ID Required.
  • 5:30AM - 6:15AM: 50K Drop Bags Checked In near start line. You must label your own drop bag with bib number prior to dropping it off.


RACE START TIMES & PARKING:

Be aware that the event parking (at Cuesta College lots) are 1 mile away on foot from the race start line and packet pick up (the Middle of El Chorro Park). There is NO PARKING inside the El Chorro Park or Dairy Creek Event property except Handicap and staff & vendors with a PARKING PASS. No drop off’s allowed. No exceptions.

  • 6:30AM: 50 KM Race Start @ El Chorro Park
  • 8:30AM: Half Marathon Race Start @ El Chorro Park
  • 9:00AM: 5 KM Race Start @ El Chorro Park
  • 9:00AM - 5:00PM: BBQ, Beer and live music by Cuesta Ridge
  • 9:00AM Kids Race check in opens @ Dairy Creek Golf Course
  • 10:00AM Kids Race @ Dairy Creek Golf Course
  • 11:30AM: Award Ceremony 5 KM and Half Marathon only on stage
  • 1:00PM: Awards 50K only on stage
